Music Videos

We Were Gonna Be Huge (Until We Got High)

In my Advanced Production course, I was given the opportunity to direct and produce an original short film. I chose to create a music video that blends narrative storytelling with an experimental, thematic visual style. The video follows a garage band’s rapid rise and emotional unraveling as they confront the pressures of the music industry. Through themes of sex, drugs, friendship, and isolation, the piece explores fame and fall. This project allowed me to combine my passions for music, film, and visual storytelling while taking creative risks with tone, pacing, and symbolism. Shot on a BlackMagic 6k Camera, Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Spring of 2025.

You Oughta Know - Alanis Morissette

For this project, I directed, co-edited, and co-starred in a 90s-inspired narrative music video set to Alanis Morissette’s You Oughta Know. Created as part of my Intermediate Film Production course, the video tells the story of a woman haunting her ex and his new girlfriend — literally. Though invisible to him, she obsessively follows their every move, crashing dates and breaking into his home in a surreal blend of heartbreak and unhinged obsession. Stylistically drawing from 90s pop/rock visual aesthetics, the video explores themes of jealousy, grief, and denial through bold performance, saturated color, and a darkly comedic edge. Shot on an iPhone, Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Fall of 2023.

Written, directed, and edited by me, this video was inspired by a spontaneous idea while listening to ABBA in my car. Drawn to the playful storytelling and three-part structure of the song, I created a lighthearted narrative about three guys chasing after the girls they met the night before. Using the song’s upbeat, cheeky tone as a guide, the video blends humor, flirtation, and a bit of chaos to capture the thrill of a spontaneous connection. Stylistically fun and energetic, the piece plays with symmetry, color, and movement to reflect the song’s vibrant spirit. Shot on an iPhone. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Fall of 2023.
